Shahpura Bagh, Rajasthan

FIRST CLASS, HERITAGE, BOUTIQUE

This heritage hotel, owned by the ruling family of Shahpura, would have presented a vastly different landscape had the late Rajadhiraj Nahar Singh not pledged the family jewels to secure water for the local populace. Presently, it stands as a magnificent green sanctuary in this arid state, embodying the essence of traditional Rajasthani culture. The current Raja, Jai, a direct descendant of Singh, resides here with his family and graciously welcomes guests to experience his palace. His personal attention and engagement lend this boutique establishment the ambiance of a homestay, albeit one of royal distinction.

Accessible by road from Jaipur, Udaipur, Ranthambore, and Jodhpur, spending a few nights here offers a refreshing change of pace from the bustling cities. Intimate and luxurious, the property is steeped in a strong tradition of altruism that is evidently a family legacy. The staff, predominantly hailing from local villages, includes many who have served the household for generations.

With a plethora of activities available in and around the estate, Shahpura Bagh is an excellent choice for families, solo travelers, and friends, particularly those who are birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.
