Evolve Back’s Kamalapura Palace, which opened its doors in 2016, introduced an unprecedented level of luxury to the Hampi region. The resort is designed to evoke the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire, modeled after a 14th-century royal enclave, and embodies a truly palatial aesthetic.
The main palace building accommodates the majority of the suites—37 in total—while an additional 9 villas are situated in the adjacent 'Zenana' enclosure. The suites are exceptionally spacious and lavishly appointed, with the villas offering even more space, each featuring a large private pool. Within the two-storey palace, guests will find a semi-open multi-cuisine restaurant adjacent to the pool and bar, as well as the more intimate specialty Newabi restaurant located upstairs.
A separate building contains the gym, spa, Ayurvedic treatment rooms, library lounge, and a small boutique. Situated 4km south of Hampi town, the resort provides various unique options for exploring the area—on foot, by bicycle, or via 4WD—making it an exceptionally luxurious base for several days of discovery in this captivating region of southern India.
