Diphlu River Lodge, Kaziranga National Park

FIRST CLASS, WILDLIFE LODGE

Situated at the periphery of Kaziranga National Park and overlooking the river, Diphlu River Lodge provides a serene escape immersed in nature. The lodge comprises eight individual cottages and four semi-detached cottages, all crafted from natural materials such as bamboo and wood, featuring thatched roofs that harmonize with the forest setting.

The twelve cottages can host up to 24 guests, with four cottages facing the river and the remaining eight offering views of the verdant paddy fields. Each cottage is equipped with an en-suite bathroom that includes a spacious shower area, dressing room, and fitted wardrobe. Expansive folding glass doors lead to a verandah, where guests can unwind in cane chairs while enjoying the picturesque surroundings.

The lodge boasts a delightful common area known as 'Machan' (jungle platform), which is a raised, air-conditioned riverside space serving as both a sitting and dining area, with access to two verandahs. The larger area, featuring a high thatched ceiling, wooden flooring, and a well-stocked bar, provides breathtaking views of the river and the national park, making it an excellent location for birdwatching or observing wildlife along the banks. The smaller verandah overlooks meticulously maintained farmland, creating an ideal ambiance for outdoor breakfasts.

Committed to coexisting with the natural environment, the lodge has opted not to install fencing between the national park and the lodge, preserving the existing animal corridor. The lodge's naturalists have documented over 57 bird species in the vicinity, so be sure to keep an eye out for these feathered guests during your visit.
