Gateway of India

Prince of Wales Museum
Prince of Wales Museum was founded in the early years of the 20th century by prominent citizens of Bombay, with the help of the government, to commemorate the visit of the then Prince of Wales. It houses approximately 50,000 exhibits of ancient Indian history as well as objects from foreign land.
High Court & Marine Drive
High Court, was built in Neo-Gothic style as an imposing edifice to British Justice. Also drive past the Marine Drive, the city’s most famous boulevard, decorates the bay in a dramatic arc of streetlights christened the Queen’s Necklace. Also drive past the Hanging Gardens.
Crawford Market
Mumbai’s most famous whole sale market, Crawford Market came into being as a food and vegetable mart way back in 1869. Today it’s a repository of everything from spices to imported food items. It is the largest in Mumbai, and contains the last whiff of British Bombay before the tumult of the central bazaars begins.
Meet a 'Dabbawala'
A 'Dabbawala' is a person in Mumbai, who is employed in a service industry, whose primary business is collecting freshly cooked food in lunch boxes from the residences of the office workers, delivering it to their respective workplaces and returning the empty boxes back to the their residence by using various modes of transport.
Dhobi (Laundry) Ghat
This 140-year-old dhobi ghat (place where clothes are washed) is Mumbai’s biggest human-powered washing machine: every day hundreds of people beat the dirt out of thousands of kilograms of soiled Mumbai clothes and linen in 1026 open-air troughs.
